Pauline’s Monastery with the Sanctuary of the Mother of God is located on the Jasna Góra hill in Częstochowa. For hundreds of years it has been the most important place of pilgrimages in Poland, where you can admire the image of Our Lady of Częstochowa. According to legend, it was painted by Saint. Luke the Evangelist, deposited in the monastery by Władysław Opolczyk Prince on 31st August 1384. From 16th September 1994 the complex was declared as historical monument.
